Rob Castro: I am a California Native. I grew up in a motorcycle family. In fact, my mother was pregnant with me and rode until she was eight months pregnant. My dad rode a 1969 Triumph Bonneville cut and raked into a chopper. I grew up riding motorcycles off and on since I was a kid. My first sled I cut on and rebuild was a 1972 Shovelhead. I cut and raked it at the age of 22 years old, yeah I was a late bloomer and that’s what started my desire to design and build motorcycles.
My first real motorcycle was a 1974 Shovelhead that I rode. I jumped on that bike and partied until I was so deep in the fog that I thought I could never find my way again. Like all stories of course it took an angel to bring me out of it. I settled down and had two wonderful daughters with my beautiful Miwok princess; I didn’t return my dream until 1997 and started building motorcycles in my garage. After a failed marriage, fighting cancer, and if that’s not enough heart problems, I seemed to be running short, so I started ThunderStrike Motorcycles and I’ve been designing and building ever since.

Wayne: Born in the bay area, Wayne has been around bikes since he was 10 years old. His older brother was a flat track mile racer, ran Harleys and Triumph motorcycles and that eventually caught Wayne’s interest in motorcycles, customs and cruisers. He moved to the Valley in 1987 with his wife of 29 years and son, Chad and daughter, Lucy. Wayne owned and operated his own motorcycle shop and has worked for large companies like Ford, Chevrolet, and Volkswagen before working with ThunderStrike Motorcycles as our lead mechanic.
Lenel Magri: I was born in Norman Oklahoma and moved to California when I turned 21. My dad was a flat track racer and has been into motorcycles for 55yrs. I became interested in motorcycles at age 16 not knowing that one day I would find my niche in the industry. I started working in a local shop 6yrs ago where I became very knowledgeable of motorcycle parts. Then I came to meet Rob Castro and joined his awesome team. So if you’re in the need for motorcycle parts don’t let my being a woman scare you, I can help!
Fran Castro: I am the bookkeeper at ThunderStrike. I have been here for 3 years. My brother had his “Raider” motorcycle rebuilt by the ThunderStrike mechanics. My nephews also love to ride motorcycles and get them serviced at ThunderStrike. I encourage all riders to come in and meet the great crew at ThunderStrike and get your bikes serviced.
